Teleportation of discrete-variable qubits via continuous-variable lossy channels

The Continuous-Variable (CV) quantum state of light allows for the teleportation a Discrete-Variable (DV) photonic qubit. Such an operation is useful in realm hybrid networks. However, it known that DV qubit via Gaussian CV resource channel severely limited under loss, with fidelity beyond classical limit unattainable losses exceeding small threshold 0.5 dB. In this work, we present new non-deterministic protocol combines modified form Bell State Measurement accommodates DV-qubit up to 20~dB. Beyond orders magnitude improvement, also show how use non-Gaussian operations on can lead approaching unity any loss.
